Do you have any credit cards? If so use them for small purchases and pay off most of the balance right away. Keep your balances to less than 30 percent of your available credit. After paying off your balances call the credit card company and tell them what you did and ask them to contact the bureau regarding the changes. I am pretty much in the same situation. I have enough money to afford a certain car, but my credit score is low.
Firstly, pay all of your bills on time, every time. You make enough money that you could easily afford to do so. Secondly, why do you want to spend that much money on a car? You can get quite serviceable transportation for a lot less money, and put down enough of a down payment that lenders will be happy to deal with you.
Buy something small on your credit card and pay it off before the billing cycle. After a while, your credit report will change. Also, if you have an outstanding balance on your credit card, ask for an increase on your credit limit. This will also change your credit score.
If you really make that kind of money why don’t you put aside about 1/3 of it each week and pay cash. AND with that kind of money, why do you have bad credit?
